This past January, I had the incredible honor of not only photographing my brother’s wedding but also stepping back to simply be his sister for part of the day. It was a unique and emotional experience—one that I will cherish forever. From the moment my brother first told me about Erin, I could tell she was different. I had never seen him so excited to talk about someone, and now, I couldn’t be more grateful to have her as my sister-in-law.

Their wedding was an intimate and heartfelt affair, spread across two beautiful days. The first day was the official ceremony, held at Green Springs in Ashland, Oregon—a place deeply connected to Erin’s roots. The chapel where they exchanged their vows was nothing short of magical. Handcrafted from locally sourced wood, it was built by a local artisan who was also in attendance at the wedding. The way the chapel seamlessly blended with the surrounding nature made it a breathtaking backdrop for their vows.

One of the most impressive aspects of the wedding was Erin’s stunning approach to greenery and decor. Instead of traditional floral arrangements, she curated every piece of greenery herself. She foraged for elements around her property in Green Springs and even asked friends and family to contribute any natural pieces they could find. The result was a beautifully organic and uniquely personal setting—one that rivaled even the most elaborate floral designs.

The ceremony itself was short but deeply meaningful. Afterward, we gathered for a cozy evening, sharing snacks, stories, and laughter up at the property. Then, the next day, we moved down to the city of Ashland to celebrate with an even larger group of friends and family. It was a joyful, love-filled weekend, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of it—not just behind the camera, but as a sister watching my brother start this new chapter of his life.

Getting to capture these moments was a privilege, but even more than that, I cherished the chance to be present, to soak it all in, and to celebrate the love between two incredible people. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are—thoughtful, creative, and full of love. I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next.
