Sky on Nine is a stunning new venue right outside of the city of Chicago. It sits above Staybridge Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn O’Hare, making it a perfect wedding venue if you have guests flying in from out of town. My favorite part about Sky on Nine was the floor to ceiling windows that gave the perfect natural light for all of the photos you could possibly want on your wedding day. Let me take you through some of the other highlights of this wedding venue.
Same floor bridal-suite anyone? Sky on Nine offers a 2 story bridal suite on the same floor as your ceremony/reception space making it super easy for morning prep. There is a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and plenty of space for your hair and makeup to be done. The staircase serves as a great photo prop for first looks or portraits. This room is just a quick dash down the hallway to everything else.
The wide open floor plan and lime wash walls at Sky on Nine create such a great canvas for any wedding you’re planning. The layout provides tons of options for different configurations for ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dance and more!
One of my biggest worries with this venue was it’s proximity to the airport and potential noise pollution, but it was not a problem at all. The planes made for some neat backdrops to the evening. I would recommend this venue to anyone. It is great for photos and for the rest of the vendors involved.
